The University provides airport reception and an orientation program. The sporting facilities include 12 hectares of playing fields, tennis and squash courts, a heated swimming pool, fully equipped gymnasium and other indoor recreation facilities.

English Language Centre
The UNE English Language Centre provides intensive courses in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and General English (GE). Placement in formal degree programs is guaranteed for suitably qualified applicants who complete their EAP English course satisfactorily.
