Step out of RMIT and into one of Melbourne's world famous laneways, filled with cafes serving food from an amazing range of cultures, casual or sophisticated eateries, art galleries and hidden shops. Global passport
International mobility experiences are an exciting and rewarding way for students to broaden their academic, personal and professional skills. RMIT's Study Abroad/Exchange program allows students to undertake courses across the full range of RMIT programs, so long as they have the correct prerequisites. Usually one or two semesters in duration, the program is designed to be flexible. Students can choose to undertake courses that contribute to credit at their home institution, or they can choose to combine courses for academic credit with electives for general interest.

Exchange at RMIT
With more than 140 partners worldwide, RMIT is known as one of Australia's most globally recognised universities. Students from exchange partners must be nominated and apply for an RMIT exchange program via the international office of their home institution. Study Abroad at RMIT
If your institution does not have an exchange agreement with RMIT University then you can apply as a Study Abroad student. An incoming Study Abroad student can study for up to 6 to 12 months. For more information please visit our website.

RMIT University ensures Exchange and Study Abroad students will have a truly international experience by offering a range of specialist courses that include not just academic content, but a combination of social and culturally-specific activities. Subjects include: Modern Australian Society, Contemporary Australian Politics, and Introduction to Australian Society.
