Animation
Our animation courses are designed to allow students to grasp the practical and theoretical elements of animation, from the earliest stages of design through to its implementation in various interactive entertainment platforms. Students develop an understanding of areas such as 3D modelling and special effects, while undertaking units that are essential to the commercial functions of the ever-evolving animation industry.

Interactive media
The multifaceted world of interactive media constantly expands as technology advances. Success within this industry is dependent upon both your inventory of creative skills and possessing the ability to proliferate your skill base as the industry continues to grow. Our interactive media courses cover a variety of areas of interactive media that are rapidly infiltrating our culture. The scope of study includes web and graphic design, digital video and audio, digital advertising and marketing, games and application design and animation to name only a few.

Games design
Throughout this course students complement their design skills with extensive practical and theoretical work. The scope of study includes scripting, testing, prototyping, psychology, philosophy, character design, level building, vehicular design and narrative to name only a few.

Games programming
Our games programming course has been developed to satisfy the increasing demand for graduates with the skills to focus on the specialist needs of the interactive entertainment industry. Students are introduced to key concepts and methodologies in order to aid the design of effective levels for a variety of different game types. These practical areas of study culminate in the fabrication of several fully playable games throughout the course. Qantm College has strong alliances with some of the leading games companies in Australia and the world, including THQ and Halfbrick.

Graphic design
Our graphic design course equips students with advanced design practice, while encouraging students to grasp the theoretical importance visual communication imposes on society. During the course, graphic design will be taught from a macro perspective with the primary focus of providing students with heightened visual perception of design analysis and marketability. Throughout the degree, students become familiar with cutting-edge software applications for print and screen-based media.

Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment (Major in Animation)
I think the thing that attracted me to Qantm the most was having a degree in just two years. I also liked the courses that they taught according to the course structure. One of Qantm's best aspects is the atmosphere being created by the students; the passionate and hard working students really make it enjoyable to study because they help you push your work. One of the main skills I learned at Qantm was pushing myself with every single piece of work I delivered. The lectures and tutorials aren't enough to get you a good mark and good work; you really need to go in your own time and expand from what you've been taught, otherwise you have no hope. I'm happy I learned that mentality at college because it applies greatly at work. You always need to be learning, at work and outside of work. Work hard, don't give up and push yourself. If you come with the mentality that animation is easy you will be very surprised. Do it for the love of it and try and get the best result.
