Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE

NMIT is one of Australia's largest and leading providers of vocational training and higher education, with more than 44,000 domestic and international students studying in Australia and 23,000 offshore enrolments in educational partnerships across Asia. NMIT is a government-funded education provider, with seven campuses, stretching from the inner metropolitan suburbs to Ararat in western Victoria, and an additional six training centres for primary industry and English language studies. Courses range from certificate, diploma and higher education qualifications across a diverse range of study areas.

About Us

NMIT has fantastic resources including vineyards and wineries, a horse stud and training farm for agricultural students; industrial robots; fully equipped laboratories and workshops; audio recording facilities, audio visual equipment and a television studio; language laboratory; modern, wellequipped libraries; training restaurants; aquaculture facilities; hairdressing training salons; performance spaces; engineering workshops; renewable energy training systems; and many more state-of-the-art facilities.

Student Services

The International Office ensures international students are assisted in every way possible to make the most of their time at NMIT. It provides them with a range of services, including free airport pick-up, personal and careers information, student lounges and general information services.

Accommodation
Yarra House is located on NMIT's Fairfield campus and offers the latest in on-campus accommodation. With 149 beds available, this refurbished facility opened in March 2010, providing the complete student living experience. Tuition Fees
Fees range between AUD$10,500 and AUD$12,800 per year, and ELICOS (English) for AUD$300 per week. (Current July 2011, subject to change).
