Courses
Monash offers courses from a vast selection of both traditional and emerging disciplines. Award-winning educators and researchers lead our ten faculties:

Course options within these faculties include single and double bachelor and honours degrees, diplomas, postgraduate coursework degrees, advanced research degrees and PhDs. For those who may not be quite ready to move directly into an Australian university course, we also offer pathway programs designed to prepare students for our challenging degrees.

While we're large, we don't let our students get lost in the crowd. We are not the dreaded 'qualification factory'. In fact, we're the opposite. We make sure our students work towards much more than a piece of paper at the end of their studies, and the Monash Passport plays a big part in making this possible.
We've used the word 'Passport' to describe our approach to education because a passport gives us the freedom to experience the world and to be changed by it. It also enables us to shape a better world. With the Monash Passport, students develop the skills and abilities they need to make a difference. The Monash Passport consists of five programs made up of a number of units and opportunities. The programs give students the chance to turn theory into action through volunteering, internships and industry-based learning programs; form a broader world view by gaining international experience; get deeper into a career, sooner, by acquiring knowledge and skills across disciplines outside their own; immerse themselves in research from the very first day of their degree; and simply access more options while they're studying so they have more options when they graduate.

I am thoroughly enjoying my undergraduate years at Monash University. Studying education to be a teacher was my initial career goal, and I decided to do a double degree to give me more career options in the future. I chose Monash University to grow professionally and individually, and to develop confidence as a teacher. My course includes a professional placement option in a range of locations, and this gave me the opportunity to challenge myself further and apply my communication skills with students. Monash University has helped me to mature as a person and develop good study and interpersonal skills. I just love this course at Monash!

I am very glad to have chosen Monash University to study law. At the end of Year 12, I was contemplating either choosing commerce or commerce/law. It was quite a difficult decision because I knew that it would change my future life in Australia. My first impression of Monash was how large the Clayton campus was. The university provides a comfortable environment for students, and when I didn't have a class, I spent most of my time studying in the Law Library or catching up with my friends in the Campus Centre. I have met many people and made a few friends, including a few international students. I could tell that many international students enjoy their lives in Australia. I very much enjoy my lectures and tutorials. The lecturers and tutors I have met so far were inspiring, intelligent and were always ready to help students in need. I am pleased to be one of the many international students to study at Monash.
