Already voted as 'Australia's most loved MBA' (2009 ARF BOSS), in 2012 La Trobe University launched the new-look La Trobe MBA, a product of an intensive two-year research and development process. The internationally accredited course encompasses the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), a boardroom simulation subject and a comprehensive personal and professional skills development component.
The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law recently introduced a range of new masters degrees in financial analysis, with specialised training in financial planning, investment, financial risk management and Islamic finance. Additionally, the new Master of Accounting (Research Studies) aims to help students develop skills for industry and prepare them for entry into a PhD. Among these new initiatives is the country's first masters program in Islamic banking and finance.
