Kangan Institute has evolved over the past 85 years into a progressive and award-winning educational facility that embraces people from all over the world.
Our rich history features the merger of three major government institutes - John Batman, Broadmeadows College and the Richmond Automotive Campus of Barton Institute of TAFE.
Today, we offer internationally recognised qualifications of the highest quality, all delivered by dedicated and professional teachers across eight campuses.
Student Services
Kangan Institute is committed to ensuring each student's experience with us is rewarding and enjoyable. Along with a dedicated lounge area and recreation facilities specifically for international students, we also provide:

Orientation
All new international students attend an orientation program, which is conducted one week prior to the beginning of the semester. The program covers aspects of living and studying in Australia including adapting to Australian course requirements, lifestyle, health insurance, compliance with student visa requirements, study skills, enrolment, (including timetable for current semester, booklist and student card) and orientation to the local environment.

Pathways to further study
We have established relationships with some of the state's leading universities and created articulation agreements across a range of disciplines, so our students plot a pathway to success. In some cases, students can gain up to 18 months credit in a degree qualification when moving from TAFE study to university. Along with our guaranteed pathways we also provide further study links through to other training providers.
