Kangan Institute has evolved over the past 85 years into a progressive and award-winning educational facility that embraces people from all over the world.
Student Services
Kangan Institute is committed to ensuring each student's experience with us is rewarding and enjoyable. Along with a dedicated lounge area and recreation facilities specifically for international students, we also provide:

All services and facilities are provided at no additional cost.
Orientation
All new international students attend an orientation program, which is conducted one week prior to the beginning of the semester. The program covers aspects of living and studying in Australia, including adapting to Australian course requirements, lifestyle, health insurance, compliance with student visa requirements, study skills, enrolment (including timetable for current semester, booklist and student card) and orientation to the local environment.
Leading facilities
The institute features a range of specialist training facilities and capabilities that reflect its historical links, including the award-winning Automotive Centre of Excellence; the Aviation Industry Training Centre, which is the only one of its kind in Victoria; and the cutting-edge Centre of Fashion, set in Melbourne's beating fashion and retail heart. We deliver a wide range of courses to students at six specialist campuses in and around metropolitan and northern Melbourne.
Campuses include:
- the Automotive Centre of Excellence in the Docklands
- Richmond (incorporating the Centre of Fashion)
- the English Language Centre in Melbourne's CBD
- Broadmeadows (incorporating the Aviation Industry Training Centre)

All campuses are easily accessible by public transport and most feature ample free parking for students.

Students who successfully complete a diploma or advanced diploma may be eligible for one to one and half years credit in a related degree through a system of credit transfer at leading universities in Australia.
