Student Services
International students receive specialised support throughout their studies to make their lives even easier. Our services include personal and professional counselling; learning support to assist with literacy, language and numeracy skills; exam preparation assistance; family support; and cultural and recreation activities. In addition, students gain assistance with jobseeking, résumé writing and interview and presentation skills.
Courses
English language programs
English is the international language used in business and commerce. Strong English skills will assist you to gain qualifications and find career success internationally. GCIT's English language programs range from intensive English, general English and IELTS preparation to specialist English language programs in nursing and health, business and hospitality. English language programs are offered from basic to advanced levels and can be specifically designed for students who require English language training before commencing formal studies in Australia. Our ELICOS programs are open to everyone, including people who are in Australia on student, tourist, working holiday or visitor visas and those who simply want to improve their English skills. To ensure that students receive the highest standard of English language education, our English language programs are developed and delivered by experienced and highly trained English teachers.
Gold Coast IELTS Test Centre
GCIT is the only IELTS testing centre for the Gold Coast region. IELTS tests are conducted every fortnight and can accommodate up to 300 candidates in GCIT's state-of-the-art English language testing centre.
Study tours
GCIT has successfully delivered study tour programs to international clients from around the world for over 20 years. All programs are tailored to suit each individual client's needs and expectations. Professional study tours are also offered, enabling delegates to enhance their personal skills in areas such as teaching methodology and understanding the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).
