About Us

More than 25,000 students make up ECU's culturally diverse student body, with almost 20% of students coming to ECU from over 90 countriesaround the world. ECU is one of only a few universities in Australia to be rated 5 stars for Teaching Quality (Good Universities Guide, 2009).

ECU has three campuses - the Joondalup Campus is where the University's headquarters are situated. Facilities include the innovative Health and Wellness Building, a fully equipped sport and fitness centre, library, outdoor cinema during the summer months and on-campus accommodation.

The Mount Lawley Campus is located only minutes from Perth's CBD, well serviced by public transport and has comprehensive teaching resources, IT and performing arts facilities, sport and fitness centre and on-campus accommodation.

The ECU South West Campus (Bunbury) is the largest university campus outside the metropolitan area in Western Australia.

With ECU's Study Abroad Program, you can study for one or two semesters and have the classes credited to your home university. You can select a variety of units from multiple disciplines and mix and match these units to suit your individual needs in order to gain credits towards your home degree. So you can complete your degree and travel at the same time!

ECU facilities
ECU campuses offer the latest in computing equipment, software, and facilities. In addition, each campus has a modern library and bookshop, IBM computer laboratories, cafés, banking facilities and health and medical services. Joondalup and Mount Lawley campuses operate world-class sporting and recreation facilities offering state-of-the-art health and fitness centres.

ECU student support
ECU is committed to quality service, and recognises the unique transition process
of all international students. Support services include arrival reception and temporary accommodation placement, student advisors, learning skills advisors, careers advisory service, student counselling, multi-faith chaplaincy service and there are a number of student associations, including the International Students Council.

Courses

A national leader in innovative course design, ECU offers courses that are relevant and practical, and often the only of their kind in Western Australia or Australia. Such courses include performing arts, through the famous Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), aviation, motorsports, game design, photomedia, and mechatronics. With over 400 different courses from bachelor degrees through to masters and doctorate degrees, there are endless possibilities for everyone.
