Deakin's Study Abroad experience. Deakin University's Study Abroad program offers international students a unique opportunity to explore a new culture and experience all that Australia has to offer, while earning credit towards their degrees back home.
About Us
With more than 70 study areas across a wide range of disciplines to choose from, Study Abroad students are enrolled as regular Deakin students and complete units of study alongside Australian students.
Most units have a weighting of one credit point. Study Abroad students must enrol in a full time load of 3-4 credit points. Four Deakin credits are equal to 30 ECTS credits. For ease of credit transfer, an official Deakin academic transcript will be issued upon the completion of your Study Abroad experience.
Our Study Abroad programs also include opportunities for internships with Australian companies where students can gain valuable work experience, as well as a Beach Welcome Program that introduces students to unique aspects of Australian life and culture.
