Student Services

The university is also active in research, development and consultancy and is part of 58 major research centres and institutes, and a principal member in 13 Commonwealth Cooperative Research Centres.
All Curtin courses have a practical or applied focus built on a solid theoretical base. The University recognises previous studies and work experience, enabling students to take advantage of any relevant prior learning and complete their degree sooner. Curtin offers alternative pathways through its Curtin English Language Centre including ELICOS and an English Language Bridging Course. Alternative entry is also available through Curtin International College (CIC), an independent education provider located on campus.
