About Us

CIT is a large government institution with over 28,000 enrolments annually and over 1500 international students per year from more than 86 countries.

As the leading provider of vocational education and training in Canberra for over 80 years, CIT is highly regarded by business and the community and offers study in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Staff are highly qualified industry professionals with national and international experience. Classes are kept small so teachers can provide one-on-one assistance in a supportive learning environment. Student Services

The International Services Unit (ISU) assists students with any questions or issues experienced while studying, such as stress, fitting in and adjusting to their new lifestyle. They also access services that assist students with academic support, appeals, attendance, credit transfer, discrimination and resource support. Airport reception is available by arrangement through ISU. ISU staff can organise accommodation placement to suit the needs of each student - choose from on-campus or off-campus student residences, or homestay. All residences are located close to public transport and shopping centres and are within 20 minutes of our campuses.

CIT offers you the opportunity to complete foundation studies, which gives you the option to apply for entry at any university in Australia or further your education at CIT.

CIT is currently offering elementary English and certificates I-IV in English language skills at a discounted cost. Study from an elementary to an advanced level for just AUD$260 per week.
