Student Services

CIT offers a range of student services including access to learning centres, peer support, 24 hour computer labs, libraries, cafes and counselling. Class sizes at CIT are kept small so that teachers can provide one-on-one assistance and a supportive learning environment. There are regular exhibitions of students work, including music concerts, fashion runway shows, 'Icon' dinner parties (where hospitality students work with a famous chef for the evening and cater a function of 200+ people) and a Hairdressing Expo.

CIT has self catered accommodation available in three student residences all of which are located in close proximity to public transport, shopping centres and CIT campuses. Homestay opportunities are also a great way to experience your first visit to Australia.

When students aren't studying they can take part in casual employment and Canberra currently has the lowest unemployment rate in Australia. Other activities include discovering one of Australia's most relaxed cities. Canberra offers students a cosmopolitan lifestyle, access to native bushland and reveals unexpected delights among the leafy surrounds including stylish restaurants, hip bars, boutique shopping, great outdoor fun and a busy calendar of events and festivals.
