About Us
Box Hill Institute was established in 1924 and is located in Victoria, in the Melbourne metropolitan area, on several campuses around Box Hill. All campuses are within walking distance from one another and the city is only 27 minutes away by train. There is also direct access to buses and trams. Box Hill is very multicultural and a pleasant place in which to live and study. Box Hill is well serviced by shopping centres, health services, religious centres, restaurants, sporting arenas and parks.

The Institute provides a range of services to support international students, including general welfare support and counselling along with information for further studies. Services include:

Graduates from Box Hill Institute may apply for further studies at many Australian universities including Deakin University, CRICOS Provider No.00113B9 (VIC). Students who have successfully completed a diploma or advanced diploma may receive up to 1.5 years credit towards university or Box Hill Institute bachelor degrees.

Ayat Imanzadeh, Iran
Diploma of Nursing
Ayat Imanzadeh has always wanted to be a nurse, she decided to investigate study opportunities overseas, but where would she go? Some of Ayat's friends were studying in Australia and were happy to tell her about the different tertiary education opportunities here. With the names of several universities and TAFEs in hand, Ayat continued her research on the web until she came across Box Hill Institute. "Box Hill Institute offered the best education at an affordable price," said Ayat. She soon enrolled in the Diploma of Nursing, and began her studies in January of this year. She is loving it! "The new building is really good, it's exactly like a little hospital. Everything is new so I really love working in the lab," she enthused. Ayat said the teachers have been very helpful and understanding of the fact that English is her second language. Life in Melbourne is good, too, although Ayat commented that the weather could be better - after sunny Iran, the Melbourne winter can be quite a challenge. All in all, "Melbourne is a peaceful place, people are more relaxed," said Ayat. She definitely recommends Box Hill Institute as a great place to study for overseas students: "It's a new experience and you shouldn't miss on the chance," she said.
