About Us
Offering courses in counselling, coaching and people management, ACAP can provide you with the opportunity to:
- develop your skills
- increase your knowledge and
- gain a relevant, practical qualification that can be applied across a range of professions and industries.
As an ACAP student you:
- Have the flexibility to study on-campus in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne and study up to 25% of your course flexibly through online or distance education.** Or, study online or by distance education in your home country.
- Will study in classes of no more than 18 students when you study on campus giving you the opportunity to get to know your fellow students and your educators.
- Undertake a student placement (unpaid work experience) as part of the requirements of your qualification.* Meaning you'll have experience on your CV before you graduate.
- Have the ability to start with a Bachelors degree and work your way up to a Masters!
Student Services
Our facilities and support services
At ACAP we offer a range of academic and non-academic support services and facilities.
We offer academic support in the form of:
- Academic Skills Workshops to help you develop essay writing, referencing and researching skills.
- A web based Student Research Centre which contains academic and administrative information such as module outlines, timetables and course sequences.
- Academic Support staff who are available to assist you one-on-one if needed.
We also offer personal support in the form of Student Support Counsellors who provide personal, confidential support and counselling in order to help you cope with personal challenges you may face.
ACAP has library facilities at each of its campuses and reciprocal lending rights with major Australian universities allowing our students to borrow reading material from them.
We hold Orientation the week before each term providing you with the opportunity to become familiar with ACAP through a campus tour and introduction to educators and fellow students.
Each of our three campuses are located in the heart of the city making them easily accessible via public transport, and just a short walk away from parks, cafes and shopping districts.
Courses
We offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in counselling, coaching and people management which are taught using a practical, hands on method which focuses on interactive learning. This means when studying at ACAP you will spend your time:
- thinking, acting and immersing yourself in new ideas
- submitting written assignments
- working in groups
- conducting role plays and
- undertaking supervised work placements
- rather than just studying for and taking exams.
