Student Services

Every new student receives a detailed orientation program. This includes studying in Australia, AMI policies and expectations, relevant Australian regulations, transport, health, banking and postal services and available recreational activities.

We provide free advice on locating appropriate and convenient homestays, rental accommodation and temporary short-term lodging such as hostels, dormitories or serviced apartments.

We know the decision to study internationally is not taken lightly. Overseas students have high expectations and high goals. Our Student Welcome Team ensures every aspect of your arrival and stay in Australia is trouble free. Welfare and academic counselling are available to all students.

Courses

AMI Education Industry Placement Office assists students in Community Welfare and Commercial Cookery to gain employment within the industry. The Industry placement office works with each student to prepare:

  • Job applications
  • Resume writing
  • Cover letter writing
  • Interview Skills
  • Record management of hours worked in the industry
  • Work and pay issues.

The program is designed to prepare trainees to work at a professional level in the Human Services Industry. During the course trainees will develop various skills to enhance their ability to communicate and aid the sector in which they decide to specialise. Once completed, trainees will be qualified to work in any number of government departments and nongovernmental organisations (NGOs) which service the community both in Australia and Internationally. On successful completion of this program trainees will be qualified to apply for a position as a Case Manager, Early Intervention Coordinator, Program Manager, Community Worker, Youth Worker and Juvenile Justice Worker.
