Successful completion of AMES International English for Academic Purposes courses enables students to enter a wide range of these institutions. Expert career counselling and assistance with tertiary applications and entry procedures are provided by staff at AMES. Students will need to:
- successfully complete an AMES International English for Academic Purposes course
- meet the partner institute's academic requirements
- gain direct entry to selected courses at our partner institutes.

There are a number of accommodation options available. It is important to consider how independent you want to be, how much money you can spend and what kind of people you would like to live with.
Homestay: AMES International arranges homestay accommodation with Australian families. Many students choose to live with a homestay family, because it gives them a chance to learn about the Australian lifestyle and to speak English every day. They are expected to live as part of the family and fit in with the family routine. Homestay is a rewarding experience for the host family and the student. The family will take care of you, in a homelike atmosphere, while you live and study in Melbourne.
Other accommodation options (not arranged by AMES): Students who organise their own accommodation may choose to stay at serviced apartments, Youth Hostels or backpackers' hostels. Contact details of these accommodation options can be provided upon request.
