Once enrolled, AICA Education staff will ensure that all students have a pleasurable experience settling into their college life. Our friendly staff will provide students with all the advice, support and information they need to study successfully throughout their time at AICA Education.
Accommodation
- Homestay - Homestay is a great way for international students to improve their English whilst learning about the Australian culture and its people. Our partner homestay company will select families best suited for the student to feel safe and comfortable thus contributing to their educational success.
- Rental - For the student who prefers an independent lifestyle, there are a number of private rental apartments or houses available close to the college.
- Share accommodation - Share accommodation with other students is another popular option.
Counselling
Student welfare is important to the staff at AICA Education. Younger students are given special attention and are observed carefully to ensure their continuing success within the program.
Our experienced welfare staff and teachers will assist students with educational matters or any enquiries they may have. Students are encouraged to make an appointment with AICA Education staff if they require services such as:

- further studies placement.
Work placement
The work placement officer at AICA Education provides the students with a work experience program that helps students gain valuable industry experience during their course to assist them to find work once graduated.
The work experience allows students to put their theoretical study into practice, giving them the unique opportunity to get their foot in the door of the corporate world. Students are placed across a range of businesses in field of study.
Courses
- Diploma of Photoimaging - With a photoimaging course at AICA, students can gain practical, hands on experience in black and white, colour, lighting techniques, digital imaging, darkroom techniques and studio work. Students will explore many different areas of photography, including portraiture, fashion, nature, landscape, editorial, sport, wedding, advertising and photojournalism.
- Diploma of Graphic Design - The Diploma of Graphic Design is designed to provide skills and knowledge for those who wish to enter the graphic design industry. This course is for anyone who wants to develop the theoretical, technical and practical skills necessary to work as a graphic designer.
- Diploma of Photoimaging (packaged with Diploma of Graphic Design) - For students who have an interest in both photoimaging and graphic design, AICA Education is offering them the opportunity to complete a course combining a Diploma of Photoimaging and a Diploma of Graphic Design in 1 year.
- Interior Design courses (Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma) - The interior design courses target those looking for a career in providing advice and practical assistance on the finishing and furnishing of existing interior spaces to meet client requirements.
- Visual Arts (Certificate IV and Diploma) - The visual arts courses offer a broad range of artistic skills and experiences in many different disciplines such as drawing, painting, sculpture, design, ceramics and public art. It is designed to allow students to develop a portfolio of artwork suitable for applying for jobs in the visual arts industry.
- Certificate III in Aged Care - In this course, students will develop a strong practical focus in aged care and will be taught the basic skills and competencies required to enter and work in the aged care sector. There is a vocational placement component to this certificate which will allow the students to use the skills and knowledge learnt in the classroom in a work environment, giving students practical hands on experience in the aged care industry.
- Diploma of Community Services - The Diploma of Community Services course covers a diverse range of topics including OHS, counselling, community development and case management. A community service role assists individuals, families and groups with social, emotional and financial difficulties to improve quality of life by educating and supporting them and working towards change in their social environment.
- Short Courses - AICA Education also offers short courses in graphic design, photoimaging and visual arts (painting, drawing and ceramics). The short courses are introductory courses that will give the students a taste of the full certificate and diploma courses.
