La Trobe’s MBA the first in Australia to achieve EPAS accreditation
La Trobe University’s Faculty of Law and Management has joined a select group of business faculties and schools worldwide with accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).
The EFMD Programme Accreditation System (EPAS) recognises excellence in business programs that operate on an international level. La Trobe University’s MBA and business programs underwent a rigorous application process to ensure it met the high standards of EPAS.
The EPAS Accreditation Board announced a three-year accreditation for the Faculty’s MBA programs in both Melbourne and Hanoi and for its Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Hospitality) offered in Melbourne.
La Trobe University now joins only forty-three other business schools globally with EPAS accreditation. In addition, the La Trobe University MBA is the first MBA in Australia with EPAS accreditation.
‘I am delighted that our MBA and Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Hospitality) programs have received EPAS accreditation from the EFMD. The EFMD is one of the leading global accreditation bodies in the field of business and management. Hence, EPAS accreditation is a powerful external endorsement of the quality of our programs and the expertise and hard work of our staff,’ said Professor Leigh Drake, the Dean of La Trobe University Faculty of Law and Management.
‘In addition to providing an assurance of quality, accreditations such as EPAS are an extremely important part of our drive for continuous improvement as we seek to enhance our reputation and profile internationally’, added Professor Drake.
Aviation Australia
Aviation Australia is located at Brisbane International Airport and it is the ideal launching pad into the dynamic aviation industry. Our aeroskills students are trained on actual operational fixed and rotary winged aircraft and our fleet includes the Boeing 727 and Fokker F28. Since our inception in training aeroskills apprentices, 800 students have successfully graduated and 91% of these graduates are employed in the
industry.
Aviation Australia is the only training organisation in Australia that provides students with qualifications recognised by both the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). EASA credits are transferable internationally). Our training programs comprehensively cover every subject required under the CASA 100.66 and EASA Part 66 basic requirements.
Throughout Aviation Australia’s cabin crew course, students are mentored, and provided with strong direction and advice on specific employment opportunities. Students are fully prepared at the time of graduation to achieve their goal of being a flight attendant. This program has been a huge success as our graduates are now flying with over 34 airlines worldwide.
All Aviation Australia programs are designed with a balanced focus between knowledge, skills, values and experience.
