Mentor Program

Deakin's Student Mentor Program helps new students with the social and academic transition during their first trimester. Experienced students will share their knowledge with you and will help you make the most of your time here at Deakin. As well as providing one-on-one assistance, the program also runs a number of social events that will give you the opportunity to network amongst each other and make new friends.

Student societies

The Deakin University Student Association (DUSA) is run by students, for students. Societies exist to make sure you have the best time at university and to help you through when times get tough. Scholarships

Deakin University has a proud history in broadening access to education and offers a vast range of access and equity scholarships and grants. In addition, the Deakin Business School offers a number of merit-based scholarships related to our undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

An example is our Global Leaders Scholarship, which is specifically designed for international students. Eligibility is based on meeting the entry requirements for our Master of Business Administration as well as on academic merit. Work integrated learning (WIL) is an opportunity for you to gain work experience and credit towards your degree at Deakin University. Courses

Deakin Business School delivers courses in all areas of business education for undergraduate and postgraduate students. You can choose from study areas such as accounting, economics, finance, information systems and business analytics, management and marketing.

Our host of undergraduate programs includes the Bachelor of Commerce, which is an internationally accredited degree that will qualify you to work in almost any industry and give you the relevant skills to apply to any business situation. Deakin is the only Australian university with an EPAS accredited Bachelor of Commerce.

Upon completion of your undergraduate degree, Deakin offers honours options and a diverse range of postgraduate courses, including Deakin's award winning MBA.

You can choose from programs such as Deakin's Master of Professional Accounting, a pathway to professional accounting for graduates from other disciplines, or our Master of Business (Sports Management) - ranked third in the world for business-based sport management programs by Sport Business International*.
